Oakwood Elementary Families,
It is with great excitement and much sadness that I share with you my plans to retire at the end of this school year.
Words can't express how grateful and appreciative I am to all of you for your generous support, understanding, and cooperation during my time as principal of Oakwood. Your families will forever be special to me. I am confident that I will leave my position at Oakwood knowing that its future path is set in a direction to meet the needs of our students and families.
After 12 years in this position, 24 in the Hannibal district and 25 total in education it is time to say farewell and move on to the next chapter in my life. I am excited to welcome another grandchild this spring and am looking forward to spending more time being wife, Mom and Mimi.
I will continue to see many faces as I will still be an Oakwood parent for one more year with my youngest. Join me in positive thoughts and prayers for the search for our next leader. I know whoever is selected as the next principal at Oakwood is going to be one lucky individual. Oakwood’s educational community is the BEST, dedicated and caring staff, supportive and kind parents and the most amazing students ever.
