MAP Testing will be on Wednesday and Thursday, May 8-9 and 15-16. Testing starts right at 8:30, it is very important for students to be here before 8:30 these dates.

Coach Nicholas (Hannibal Middle School) brought his fascinating snake collection to reward hardworking 2nd graders at A.D. Stowell Elementary! 🐍👏
Students who completed all their work and followed directions were treated to a 🐍presentation from Coach Nicholas and his snake collection. Students learned five 🖐cool facts about snakes and got a firsthand look. 👀 What an awesome reward! Keep up the great work Pirates! ❤🏴☠️

Stowell wants to give a HUGE thanks to Samaritans Feet, The Titanic Attraction of Branson, and Eugene Fields Kindness Club for such a successful event! We were able to give each one of our K-5 students a pair of shoes, that is over 200 kids!! We had several volunteers that helped make this event possible and for them we are forever thankful! 🖤❤
‼Disclaimer: We did run out of a few sizes at the end of this event. If your student did not get a pair, we will have those shoes for them on Monday! ‼

🌞 4 More days until the Solar Eclipse! 🌞
On Monday, April 8, a solar eclipse will cross over the United States. Although we are not in the path of totality, we will be able to view a 94% eclipse at approximately 2 p.m. This is a rare occasion and we want our students to be able to experience it. Our teachers will also be planning activities to align with the event and grade level learning standards.
To take advantage of watching the eclipse, students will be issued protective eye glasses prior to going outside. These eyeglasses have been purchased by our Parent Teacher Organization, and have been certified as safe by the American Astronomical Society and NASA.
If you DO NOT want your student to participate in the viewing, please contact us by calling by 9 a.m. on Monday, April 8.

Our 5th grade students recently finished a math lesson on volume. Each student got to create an animal out of cardboard boxes and construction paper. When their animal was completed they had to then calculate the volume of their animal. These 5th graders did such a great job!
🦷The Clarity Dental Van is coming to Stowell! It will be here on April 2-4. There was a flyer sent home on March 12th, this needs to be turned in ASAP! 🦷
