🥳 For the past few weeks, we've been enjoying the brand-new sculpture on our HHS campus by Hannibal native and HHS alum Nick Willett! 👏
This stunning artwork replaces Willett’s previous sculpture, “Round Trip,” which had been on display since October 2022. Nick Willett, a 1997 HHS graduate. Read more about the project from the Hannibal Arts Council!

If your student is going into Kindergarten, 8th grade, or 12th grade and needs any required immunizations, PATCH (our school-based healthcare) is having a clinic on both Aug 13 and 14! No appointment necessary.

7/25/24 UPDATE
👏👏Repairs are moving along quickly, and Gerald Perry Tennis Company will NOW begin resurfacing on Monday July 29. Both complexes will be closed to community members during this time. We are hopeful that the courts will be available for community members after August 5.

Due to severe lightning damage on Tuesday, 7/16/24, the south tennis courts require significant repairs. Here’s our plan to get them back in shape:
🛠️ Demo Work: Midwest Railroad will start repairing the damaged areas soon.
🎾 Resurfacing: Gerald Perry Tennis Company will begin on August 5th. Both complexes will be closed to community members during this time.
⏰ Reopening: We’re hopeful to have the courts ready for play by HHS Tennis practice on 8/12/24.
We appreciate your understanding and patience as we work to restore our tennis courts.

🎇At the end of the school year, HHS Key Club students painted patriotic rocks in celebration of the 4th of July! 🎨These beautifully crafted rocks were placed throughout downtown this week, just in time for the NTSD festivities. Be sure to keep an eye out for them while enjoying the celebrations! ♥

🌟 We are incredibly proud of all of our students who attended Boys State and Girls State of Missouri last week!
This eight-day program, hosted by The American Legion, offers a hands-on experience in government operations. Designed to guide high school juniors toward individual success and leadership, one key idea of the program is that every individual has the power to change the world, whether they're an athlete, politician, journalist, or scientist. 🌟
Thank you to generous community funders that allow students to attend the leadership experience at no cost to them: American Legion Men's Club, American Legion Women's Auxillary, Hannibal Booster Club, and HAYS. ♥🏴☠️

🌿 Native Missouri Prairie Sculpture Art 🌿
🌼The HHS advanced Ceramics/Sculpture classes have created beautiful sculptures inspired by native Missouri prairie plants and the work of Nick Willet, a 1997 Hannibal High School grad! By planting native species, we support our pollinators. 🌸🦋
Look for these beautiful pieces in downtown Hannibal garden spaces curated by Kristy Trevathan when you're out and about this summer!

And a huge thanks to our very own Transportation Director, Scott Speer, for orchestrating an unforgettable 'bus rodeo'! Many administrators had never driven a bus before, but with his team's guidance, they navigated the course with newfound confidence and skill.
