Happy Earth Day everyone! 🌍🌱 Yesterday, our HHS Environment Club had a fun opportunity to visit with nearly 350 elementary students in the district about the importance of taking care of our planet. They focused on the issue of litter and waste, and the impact it has on our environment.
Students picked up trash together and talked about how we can reduce our waste and make a positive impact on the planet. It was inspiring to see the younger generation so passionate about protecting the earth! Let's all do our part to make every day Earth Day by reducing our waste and being mindful of our impact on the environment. 🌿♻️ #EarthDay #ReduceReuseRecycle #HannibalProud

Hannibal Community,
Please be advised: Monday April 17th, beginning at 10 am HHS will be hosting a Mock Traffic Crash for all Juniors and Seniors; you may see a large first responder presence on the HHS campus. The simulation is designed to demonstrate the dangers of driving under the influence and to encourage safe driving practices among our students.
During the simulation, emergency responders such as police, fire and ambulance personnel will be present, as well as student actors playing the role of injured or deceased individuals. This is an impactful and emotional experience that we believe can help save lives by illustrating the dangers of reckless driving. Safety protocols will be in place to ensure that all participants are safe throughout the simulation.
Please note that this event is for students and staff only, and we kindly ask that parents, guardians and other community members refrain from attending or spectating the event.
Thank you in advance for your support in helping to keep our school and our community safe.

Mrs. Poage's 10th grade English classes recently had a brief unit on Greek mythology. They've had fun exploring the stories of the gods and goddesses, and are looking forward to diving deeper into this topic under Mr. Barnard's tutelage when they get to 12th grade!
