The universal free school meal programs that started in March 2020 in response to the pandemic, will not be carried over to next year. The federal government did not include this program in the budget for the 2022-2023 school year.

This means that free meals for ALL students have EXPIRED.

Families must fill out an application if they are hoping to qualify for free or reduced meals during the 2022-23 school year. Families that don’t fill out the application, or do not qualify for free or reduced meals, will begin being charged for each meal their child consumes at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year. This is applicable to all students at all buildings, even if these students or buildings have been free in the past.
