About the Teacher
After graduating from Hannibal High in 1999, I attended Northwest Missouri
State University where I graduated in May 2003 with a Bachelor of Science
Degree in Music Education. I then taught for a year in Chillicothe and
gladly chose to return to Hannibal in the fall of 2004.
Course Descriptions
Pirate Pizzazz - This is an entry level mixed choir that any student
wanting a fine arts credit may participate in. There are required
performances throughout the year that will count toward the student's final
grade.
River City Revue - This is an auditioned show choir that only
Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors may be in. We sing many types of
literature throughout the year. We perform for the community, and compete
in various competitions. There are both singing and dancing in the
audition. This class also has required performances. The student must have been
in Pirate Pizzazz or A Cappella Singers the previous year.
A Cappella Singers - This is the advanced choral ensemble which
represents the school at contests and concerts. It is open to Sophomores,
Juniors, and Seniors, and they must have been in choir the previous year.
There is an audition of singing and sight reading. This ensemble
has required performances as well.
Tutoring Times
I am available during Study Team days for tutoring. I also give
private voice lessons after school as long as I am not filled up with students.
