About the Teacher

I graduated from Collinsville High School in 1986.  I earned a B.S. degree in Mathermatics from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1990.  I earned an M.A. degree in Mathematics from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale in 1992.  My teaching experience includes high school, junior college and college teaching.  I taught math and physics at St. Thomas Seminary 1996-2002.

Course Descriptions

Algebra II  
Students will learn to solve and graph linear equations, students will solve systems of equations, students will work with quadratic equations, students will work with rational and radical expressions, students will discover patterns that used for sequences and series of numbers, students will apply knowledge to solve physical and financial problems.
Statistics
Students will learn to display data in graphical measures, students will apply their knowledge of measures of central tendency to sets of data, students will solve problems involving probability, students will learn many uses of the normal distribution, students will make decisions using hypothesis testing.
Calculus
Students will learn the concept of the "limit", students will compute derivatives and use the results to solve applied problems, students will compute integrals and use the results to solve applied problems.
