                    TUTORING TIMES

As a rule, I am available before school from 7:10 until 7:30 a.m. and after school until 3:30 p.m.
every day except Mondays.  Students who need assistance should arrange for a time in advance
to assure that I am able to work with them on a particular day.  Often it is best to utilize time
after school to make up work or retest, since it is in a quieter setting.

                    ABOUT THE TEACHER

As a Hannibal native and graduate of HHS, I take pride in being a part of the Hannibal Public                                     School District.  Some years ago, I graduated from Quincy College (now Quincy University)
with a Bachelor of Science in International Business and a minor in Spanish.  Although my
young life's desire to teach took a detour during those college years, I returned to my love
of education and was a substitute teacher for four years while completing the coursework                                         needed to become certified to teach Spanish and English.  For two years, I taught Spanish I

and English 9 at Hannibal Junior High; however, when the freshmen were moved to the high                                     school, I also moved. In 1991 I began teaching Spanish II, III and IV, and level V was later                                     added when it was created in response to the addition of a Spanish I course at the eighth
                    grade level.

Other than my classes, I enjoy music, my pets and travel.  In 1981 I visited Europe for the
first time, traveling through 20 countries.  Since my teaching career began, I've had several                                     opportunities to share journeys with students and have visited
Mexico and Morocco and
returned to some of the European vistas I first saw all those years ago.  Someday I hope
                    to travel to
Peru and experience Machu Picchu.
