About the Teacher

Education
I graduated from Hannibal High School in 1996.  After high school I attended Truman State University for two years and then transfered to the University of Missouri where I attained my undergraduate degree.  I am currently working on my graduate degree from William Woods University.

Teaching Experience
This is my third year of teaching Industrial Technology. My first year I was a teachers aide at the Hannibal Middle School for an At-Risk program.

Course Descriptions

Residential Wiring I and II
In Residential Wiring I we take a look into the National Electric Codes for residential homes.  Students will learn how to install different circuits that pertain to the average home.
In Residential Wiring II, students apply the knowledge they obtained in Wiring I and physically wire circuits.  Students will also look into the career path of an electrician.  There is a fee assessed to each student for this class.

Power and Control Technology
Power and Control Tech is a project based class.  This class takes a look into Fluid Power (hydraulics and pneumatics) and how it is used in daily life.  There is a fee assessed to each student for this class.

Industrial Process
This course is an entry level course into the Industrial Technology programs.  Students will rotate through three instructors, one every twelve weeks.  Students will gain basic knowledge into all phases of industrial technology as well as the many career opportunities that students can have.  During the twelve weeks that students are in my class they will learn about engineering skills for bridges and houses, basic electrical wiring skills, industrial maintenance, automotive technology, and agricultural education.  Safety is also heavily covered in this class.  There is a fee assessed to each student for this class.

Introduction to Graphic Arts
This class offers an introduction to Graphics.  Graphic Arts is a semester class.  Students will complete several projects during the semester.  Some of the projects they will complete are T-shirts, greeting cards, engravings, etchings, and many other projects.  There is a fee assessed to each student for this class.

Industrial Technology (at Hannibal Middle School)
This class is a year long class.  We look into several different areas.  Our main focus is on wood working.  We also touch upon metal, plastics, concrete, electricity, and power and transportation. There is a fee assessed for each student for this class.

Tutoring Times

I am available in the mornings from 6:45-7:45 if needed.  I am also available by appointment.
