About the Teacher
I am married to Jim Williams; he owns and operates his own
business. I have a beautiful 21 year old daughter, Lauren. She is
a junior in college, studying nursing this fall. My family moved
several times throughout my childhood years, so I lived in several
states. I spent most of my childhood in Texas - that's why every now
and then, a southern word spills
out!
I went to Southern Illinois University. I
received my Masters from Lindenwood
University. I taught several years in Illinois before I moved to
Hannibal. I've taught at HHS for fifteen years, so I'm an oldie but a
goodie!
I love being outdoors. I'm really into nature, and I don't
understand indoor people! Most of my creative ideas result from
time spent out on my deck

I also love football, especially the Kansas City Chiefs! |
| My other "loves"are my two cats and my yellow lab, Lucy. | ![]() |

Tutoring Times
I participate in the Academic Tutoring Program, which meets after
school Monday-Thursday 2:45-4:00.
I am available for tutoring most mornings (I'm usually at school by
7:00 a.m.) and most afternoons; I just ask that the student
arrange the date ahead of time.
Course
Description:
English 11/CP- This class follows the development of American
literature
from the Puritan period to modern times. We also write a lot! We
start
with the basic essay and branch off into other forms of writing.
We
study grammar - even diagramming! It is a weighted class and
requires serious study.
English 11/AC - This class is designed for the vocational/trade
student. We study all forms of communications: speaking, reading,
writing, and listening. We do formal and informal papers also.
We study grammar, especially as it applies to everyday
communications.

Drama I - We study the history of theatre, stage directions, set
construction, lighting, make up, etc. This class is 50% book
work: reading, taking notes, quizzes and tests, and 50% acting
activities/games. Only students truly interested in theatre should
consider this class. To take Drama II, a student must have 80% and my
recommendation.
Drama II -V - This is an acting/performance class. We
present a Spring play, usually the first week in May. All
students are required to participate in our production. We have
presented: Help! I'm Trapped in High
School, Alice in Wonderland, The Miracle Worker, and Stand and Deliver.
