French V is a full year course for one (1) credit. Students in French V will begin the year with a brief review of materials covered in their first four years of the language. We will specifically review all verb tenses covered thus far. Throughout the year we will work from a variety of textbooks to review and cover new vocabulary, grammar, and culture.
Also this year we will read several complete novels in French, including Le Petit Prince, Candide, and Les Miserables. We will also watch and study several French films, such as Cyrano de Bergerac and Le Ballon Rouge.
Prerequisite: French IV, recommended grade of "C" or better.
