Veterans Elementary Library

Mrs. Gail Park, Library Media Specialist

Mrs. Ruth Ellison, Library Clerk

Mrs. Park read, "The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything."

Pre-School students then made a crazy scarecrow based on the book.

Mission Possible!

Who can resist a challenge? Hopefully not the Veteran's Elementary students! The library has issued a reading challenge based on the popular Mission Impossible theme, but the library's theme is Mission Possible. Appearing incognito to all the library classes & displaying their spy "wares", the librarians, Agent Park & Agent Ellison, introduced the challenge of the Mission Possible. Playing a recorded message using the Mission Impossible theme, the "agents" introduced the mission to all the classes. Their mission, should they decide to accept it, is to read all the books listed on either the Extreme Challenge Mission or the Ultimate Challenge Mission. The reading lists have some classic picture books and chapter books that every student should read or have read to them before entering middle school. They also may read two chapter books of their choice depending on their reading level. The students have until Nov. 18 to complete their mission. A secret, undercover surprise awaits those who successfully complete the mission. Good luck, Team Veterans!
