Mark Twain Elementary Guidance and Counseling Program The guidance and counseling program at Mark Twain Elementary strives to build relationships with faculty, students, and families. It is structured to address the following areas with students:

*Asset Building *Anti-bullying behavior *Character education (respect, honesty, responsibility, and caring) *Peaceful Conflict Resolution skills |

The guidance
and counseling program also provides assistance to students that need help being
successful in school. Those programs include utilizing a success team approach
that involves meeting with parents, community resources, and school personnel to
develop a plan. Other supports the guidance and counseling program provides is: *Individual Counseling *Group Counseling *Mentor Project *Gatekeeper Program
