Our Eagle Nest

After our eagle field trip to Clarksville, Missouri in February, Miss Huseman had the idea to use our
knowledge of eagles and contruct a life sized eagle nest. Here are a few photos of this project.

Miss Huseman explains how branches are laid in a rotating triangular pattern.

She measures the depth -- 24 inches is ideal for eagles.

The structure begins to take shape.

She shows the tickness of the nest wall -- about 18 inches.

Miss Huseman explains how eagles use feathers and other natural items to line the nest.
