World Illiteracy
Allen and Scott: Illiteracy means people don't know how to
read. Some places in the word affected by our problem are South Asia,
Arab States, Sub Sahara Africa, and East Asia. More females in the
world than males cannot read. This has been a problem for a long
time. Our problem can be fixed by people by talking to the right
people and making a plan. The Peace Corps is one group who is working
on this problem. If no one fixes our problem even then more people
will not know how to read. We learned that when parents can't read
then their kids usually don't learn to read.

Allen: You
need to read fact books and story books.

Allen: You need to read
cook books.
Scott: Your
parents need to know how to read so they can teach you how to read.
