Mr. Johnson told the life story of Dr. Martin Luther King,
an American who just happened to be an African American.
"You are as good as anyone."

Mr. Johnson asked to kids to say:
"Love is the key to solving the problems of the world."
He explained the meaning of the word segregation: keeping people
apart.

After telling the story of how he was shot in Memphis, Mr.
Johnson asked
the kids and teachers to sing a few verses of "We Shall Overcome."

Audience members joined hands to show that
together people can make things happen.
