The Best Missouri Region

Formative Assessment:

· In which region do you live?

· What is the land like near your town?

· How do you think life would be different if you lived in a tropical climate, a desert, or a polar region?

Instructional Strategies or Activities:

Introduce Missouri’s major regions. Using research materials have students find tourist attractions, major landforms, cities, natural resources, and how the region was formed. The students will include the information in a multi-media production to persuade other class members to visit that region.

Adaptation without computer integration would be to create posters instead of a multi-media product.
