Economic Resources Collage

Formative Assessment:

· What are natural resources?

· What are human resources?

· What are capital resources?

Instructional Strategies or Activities:

Review the concept of economic resources: natural, human, and capital.

Divide the students into groups of two or three.

Each group demonstrates one of the types of resources by finding pictures, drawings, and words in assorted magazines and constructing a collage. Mention that they should be creative. Each collage should be labeled using cut out letters.

Each group plans and makes an oral presentation. In the presentation the group needs to explain how each picture they have chosen represents the economic resource their collage depicts.

Summative Assessment:

Assessment is based on cooperation in the making of the collage and on how well the choices are justified in the presentations. Display the finished projects.
