What are multiples?

Instructional Strategies or Activities:

Prepare and have students cut out the first 10 multiples of 2-9. Have the multiples in order on their desks. Pass out Venn diagrams to each student. Demonstrate this activity on the overhead the first 2 or 3 times. Pick any two numbers and find the multiples. The common multiples will be the overlapping set. Have students circle the common multiples and underline the least common multiple.

Summative Assessment:

Prepare a short quiz on multiples for assessment.
